Glendon Burke "Tubby" Kight, 85, of Dunbar passed away December 18, 2001, at home after a long illness.
He was born in Calhoun County in 1916, a son of the late Charlie and Malinda Kight.
He graduated from Calhoun County High School, attended Glenville State College and was a graduate of Mountain State
Business College. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in North Africa. He was a retired parts and
service manager from Gravely Tractors with 30 years of service. He was a Christian.
He was proud of his family and loved his country.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 54 years, Jessie Lee Kight; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Dana Hayes of Dunbar,
Beth and John Williamson of Cross Lanes. He will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Tiffani Michelle and Bob Swanson of
Wardensville, Tony and Sherry Hayes of Fairmont, Matthew and Andrew Williamson of Cross Lanes. He is also survived by:
brothers, Freddie C. Kight of Panama City, Fla., R.J. Kight of Charleston; sisters, Lila Hickman of St. Albans, Helen Hamilton
of Grantsville, Peggy Kight of Parkersburg.
His first great-grandchild is due at any time and he was looking forward to this addition to our family.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Jess Waggoner officiating.
Entombment will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
