Calhoun's Lady Red Devil Volleyball team struggled in the semi-final round of the Region II tournament, falling to East Hardy 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.
By eliminating Calhoun, East Hardy advances to the State Volleyball Tournament to be held November 14 and 15 at the Charleston Civic Center.
Calhoun was led in service points by Jordan Mace with 9. Also scoring: Amber Wilford 7, Ashley Houchin 4, Tessa Batten 4, Rochelle Gerwig 4, and Savannah Church 2. Setting: Houchin was 58/61 with 14 assists. Hitting: Tessa Batten 20/22, 8 kills; Amber Wilford 11/13, 2 kills; Savannah Church 8/12, 3 kills; Jordan Mace 5/10, 1 kill; Samantha Church 3/4, Hannah Wilson 2/6.
