A strategic plan for the Little Kanawha Development Corporation was
reviewed at the meeting of the Wirt-Calhoun economic development group
last night in Grantsville. Luke Peters of the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council
discussed the two-county plan with attending members.
Mark Whitley, a member of the selection committee for the position of
group's new Economic Development Director, discussed the criteria for
hiring the position. Whitley is Executive Director of the Roane County
Economic Development Authority.

Eight applications have been received, according to Dan McDonald,
President of the two-county development group. The candidate field will be
narrowed and interviews will be conducted sometime in January.
