| Glenda Melbadine Richards Sims, 75, died on September 29, 2008 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV following an extended illness.
She was born March 13, 1933 in Big Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Richards. She had been a cook for the Troy Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Sims, of Cox's Mills, WV; a son, Bruce (Patty) Wilson; grandsons, Richard, Jason (Christine), Jeremy, Frederick, Carl; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Taryn, Lilly, Selena, and Alissa.
Also surviving is one sister, Yvonna Collins and one brother, Cecil Richards (Donna); several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by one son, Ricky Wilson; brothers, Gail, Elmer, Ernest, Ronzel, Donzel, Charles, Denver and Harold and two sisters, Ruby Mathers and Shirley Cox.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley. Interment will be in Hunt Cemetery, Big Bend, WV.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to service. |
