Molasses Fest Queen Autumn Siers and King Allen Metheney
New royalty was chosen at Arnoldsburg last night with the crowning of the Molasses Festival Queen and King.
Autumn Summers, daughter of Jody McCormick and Kenny Sears of Orma, was crowed queen of the 41st festival.
Allen Metheney, son of Chris and Connie Metheney of Chloe, was selected as the festival king.
The selections are made by donated money which goes to Arnoldsburg school improvements.
The fundraiser, sponsored by the Arnoldsburg PTO, raised $8,229.46. according to principal Bryan Sterns.
1st runner-up: Preston Neely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Neely of Chloe and Kinley Hosey, daughter of Julie Garrett and Steve Hosey.
2nd runner-up: Kaitlyn Marks, daughter or Eric and Sarah Marks of Orma and Mason Nicholas, son of David and Michelle Nicholas of Arnoldsburg.
3rd runner-up: Garrett Vineyard, son of David Vineyard and Lora Hammack of Arnoldsburg and Briana Marks, daughter of Charmin Marks of Millstone.
They will appear in Saturday's Grand Parade, which starts at 1 p.m.
