Della Ray Burton, 84, of Mount Zion, WV, died Friday,
December 7, 2001, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville, WV .
She was a homemaker.
She was born April 8, 1917, to Charlie H. and Genetta Cummings. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Ocie V. McCumbers,
Kathy Burton and Vera Bailey; one son, Noble Lee Burton; two brothers,
Richard and Wesley Cummings; two sisters, Ellie and Mary.
Survivors include sons, Charles Harrison Burton and Jerry Allen Burton of
Nevada; brother, Robert Cummings of Looneyville, WV; two sisters, Rosa
Taylor of Mt. Zion, WV, and Emma McKinney of Newton, WV; 14
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2001, at Carl Wilson Funeral
Home, Clay, with Minister Fred Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the
Cummings Cemetery, Procious, WV .
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
