KANAWHA WOMAN STABS HUSBAND - A woman from Kanawha County faces charges after police say she stabbed her husband.

Authorities say Julie Bartlett stabbed Richard Bartlett in the stomach at their apartment in Jefferson.

Witnesses told police Julie Bartlett also kicked him in the head and he begged her to stop because he thought she was going to kill him.

Bartlett was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.

WHEELING MAN STABBED - A man was stabbed outside of Hock's Bar in Triadelphia.

Ohio County Chief Deputy Pat Butler said April Riggle and Nikki Clear were fighting inside of Hock's when the affray moved outside.

Derek Kennedy was in his apartment above the bar and came out to calm it down.

He ended up being in a confrontation with 23-year-old Robert Riggle of Triadelphia.

The officer said Kennedy was then stabbed in the torso twice.

Robert Riggle was charged with malicious wounding and April Riggle was taken into custody for obstructing an officer.

PARKERSBURG MAN ATTACKED WITH KNIFE - Parkersburg Police are looking for three men who attacked a man with a knife Tuesday on Plum Street.

Police say the 35-year-old man was walking down the street when three black males got out of a maroon and gold car and tried to get him to get inside.

The victim says he resisted and was slashed in the back, but did not see a knife.

Police say the injured man did not immediately contact authorities, and was treated and released from the hospital.

ELKINS STABBING - An Elkins man is incarcerated in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail after being charged with malicious wounding.

William Jennings Browning, 44, of Lavalette Avenue apparently became involved in a verbal confrontation with Bradley David Shifflett, 27, of Elkins.

Shifflett was walking in the area of 13th Street and South Kerens Avenue when the verbal confrontation with Browning turned into a physical confrontation.

Browning allegedly used a utility knife to cut Shifflett's right shoulder.

Officers went to Browning's home and he admitted to cutting Shifflett, however Browning stated it was in self defense.

Browning was arraigned by a Randolph County magistrate and is being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
