West Virginia's economy is robust and improving, according to Workforce WV, with the state's jobless rate falling to 3.9%.

Unemployment fell to 3.9% in August from 4.2 percent in July.

According to the statistic, West Virginia is doing much better than the nation, which has an unemployment rate of 6.1% for August, notwithstanding WV is at the bottom of the barrel in USA income - but it's a rosy bottom.
