| Eugene B. Garrettson, 84, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, died September 14, 2008, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Creston, W.Va., a son of the late William W. and Clara Woodring Garrettson. He worked for ACME Fishing Tools for over 30 years and was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Bill Wolfe of Parkersburg; son and daughter-in-law, William and Teresa Garrettson of Elizabeth, W.Va.; sister, Geneva Coccia of Columbus; and three grandchildren, Dianna, Jennifer and Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Saundra Schwendeman Garrettson; and six brothers and sisters.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery North with military honors by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday.
