He was a son of Pauline Cottrell Miller of Spencer and the late Herbert Miller. He was an oil field worker and a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his companion, Patty Chapman; one daughter, Ami Aylor of Huntington, WV; one brother, Kenneth R. Miller and his wife, Barbara; Patty's daughter, Tasha Boggs of Spencer; and Patty's grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home of Spencer.
