The transfer is being made to Shentel Cable Company, located in Edinburg, Virginia from Rapid Communications LLC in Littleton, Colorado.
The Calhoun Commission's resolution approved a five year franchise from the current expiration date.
The company has changed hands numerous times in recent years, with customers frequently complaining about the quality of service.
The actual number of customers still on the cable was not available, nor was the selling price of the company.
Calhoun customers appear to be shifting to satellite TV services.
