It's time to get shaking and baking - the 41st Annual West Virginia Molasses Festival will have a Recipe Cook-Off on Saturday, September 27th as part of the annual event to be held September 25-27.
The cook-off is sponsored by Hospice Care, a nonprofit organization serving twelve counties in West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Ribbons and gifts will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners and a ribbon for the "Crowd Favorite"

A copy of Official Rules is available at, Crystal Lynn's Hair Trendz at Millstone, Calhoun Senior Center, Grantsville, or Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.
Winners will be announced following Saturday's Grand Parade.

· Entries must be fully prepared and accompanied by a
copy of the recipe on the day of competition.
· Entries can be main dish, side dish, bread, dessert, etc.
· Entries will be judged on taste, appearance, texture.
· All entries must contain molasses as an ingredient.
· Prepared entries must be received on September 27,
2008 during the hours of 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., inside the
main building.
· Entry fee of $5 is due at the time of each entry
submission.
· Judging will begin at 11:00 a.m.
· Crowd will cast their vote for the "Crowd Favorite"
following official judging. $1 allows crowd to sample all entries.
