| Glenville State College got a big financial boost Wednesday.
Board of Governors member Tom McPherson announced that he and his wife are donating $250,000 to the college's capital campaign fund.
The college will use the money for new buildings which could house healthcare, forestry, and physical education facilities.
The GSC Board of Governors has also approved the school's new off-campus housing plan.
The plan would allow local landlords, whose apartments meet GSC's minimum safety requirements, to be on its approved list.
The college would then share the list with upperclassmen who do not want to live in dorms.
The board also discussed plans for a modern new dorm.
