| William F. "Bubba" Shay, 79, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, August 14, 2008, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born October 1, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late William and Clarabelle Williams Shay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine F. Shay; one sister, Shirley Kost; one brother, Charles Gustavus.
"Bubba" was a former deputy sheriff for Lake County, Ohio. He was a retired employee of Parker Hannifin Corp., Cleveland, Ohio. Also, he was a member of the Willoughby Lodge No. 302, F. & A.M., Willoughby, Ohio.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Barbush of Spencer; one son, William "George" Shay of Euclid, Ohio; one grandson, Theodore William Barbush of Ohio.
Mr. Shay was cremated and service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
