... to "Chub" Swisher, with VFW members present salute
Some of Calhoun's and Roane's "old soldiers" presented military honors yesterday at Big Bend Cemetery for the late Ronald Duane "Chub" Swisher, who died in 2008.
Nearly all the "old soldiers" are themselves now deceased.
They are members of the VFW posts in Grantsville and Spencer.
Swisher was retired from the US Army.
The soldiers presented the US flag to the Swisher family, followed by honors, salutes and taps.
