Making the grade to be a West Virginia School of Excellence means more than just meeting all the requirements on the application.
It means going above and beyond the call for students.
Schools of Excellence in West Virginia need to meet several requirements that are evaluated through application by a panel,
documented student achievement and a safe learning environment.
Eight WV schools met the requirements to become a School of Excellence, including Creed Collins Elementary in Ritchie County.
