| Caroll Roberts, 64, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Roane General Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born October 30, 1943, at Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry James and Martha Betts Roberts. She was a resident of Huntington State Hospital, Colin Anderson Center, Lakin State Hospital, and the Spencer State Hospital, where she resided until its closing in 1989. She then lived with Bobbette Harper before becoming a client at Westbrook Health Services.
Caroll loved life and brought joy to the lives of everyone who knew her. She enjoyed pretty days on the porch, her beloved cat, Shadow, shopping for new clothes and jewelry, taking long drives through the country, and listening to country music. Everyone who knew and cared for Caroll was touched by her gentle heart and kind ways.
She will forever be missed by her friends and family at Westbrook Health Services and her friend and guardian, Rhonda Rogers.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008, at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
