ATV discovered at Hur by Cpl. Starcher was stolen from Lewis County

The Grantsville Detachment has investigated several
crimes throughout Calhoun County during the month of August:
- A minor possession of marijuana (less than 15 grams) investigation (complete).
- Another stolen ATV four wheeler was recovered belonging to a Lewis County resident (complete).
- Responded to multiple domestics and domestic batteries throughout Calhoun County (all
complete).
- Two destruction of property to motor vehicles near Orma and Mt. Zion
areas (pending)
- A destruction of property of a house near Arnoldsburg area.
(pending).
- Petit larceny of antique yard tools near Arnoldsburg (pending)
- A B&E of a motor vehicle at Minnie Hamilton Hospital (pending).
- Battery investigation at the Calhoun County Middle/High School. (pending).
- Multiple disturbance calls near Mt. Zion area (complete)
Also the Grantsville Detachment is investigating a motor vehicle accident
that occurred on Monday, August 4, 2008 just north of the Calhoun and Clay
County line.
The investigating officer is interested in questioning the
driver of this truck described by witnesses as a new looking, large white dump truck with a shiny bed, possible made of diamond plate metal on the sides.
This truck was traveling south on State Route 16 at approximately
2:45 p.m. on August 4, 2008. It is unknown if this truck was just passing
through Calhoun County, but it may have stopped or made a delivery within
the county.
