Anna Opal Stump, 85, of Chapman Avenue, Spencer, formerly of Chloe,
Calhoun County, died November 30, 2001 at Roane General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Spencer and Lula Jarvis Tanner. She was a
Christian, a homemaker and a member of the Sand Run Gospel Tabernacle at
Elkview. She was a former pianist for the Calhoun County Quartet for many
years and served by the side of her husband, Rev. Jack Stump in the gospel
ministry for 44 years.
She is survived by her husband and a niece, Vicki Karabinus of Medina,
Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer Tanner.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 3 at 1 p.m. at the Stump
Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Hubert Woods will officiate. Interment will
be in the Lamb Cemetery at Chloe. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
