| The Calhoun Sheriff's Department is investigating what appears to be the arson of a car, located on Upper Big Run near the Braxton-Gilmer line.
The burned 2003 Chevy Cavalier, a total loss, was discovered yesterday, according to Deputy Justin Smith.
The auto was discovered just off the main highway.
Smith said the State Fire Marshal has been advised about the incident.
"We are forwarding some evidence to the state's crime lab," said Smith.
Upper Big Run is in the Nicut area of Calhoun.
