The Roane-Jackson Technical Center is offering a Medical Office Technology Program for the 2008-2009 school year. This one-year program will begin on August 26, 2008 and meet daily from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The program consists of training in Medical Office Management, Medical Terminology, Medical Filing, Medical Office Software (Billing), Accounting, Office Management, Computer Applications I (Word and Excel 07), Computer Applications II (Access, Powerpoint, Outlook 07), Business Communications, and Alphabetic Filing. Each student has an opportunity to complete an on-the-job training experience.
This one-year course is approved for Pell, Workforce Investment, DHHR, VA and TAA funding. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Students must have a diploma or GED.
