Fred O. Sturm, 96, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at The Willows nursing center.
He was the son of the late Robert L. Sturm and Emmaline Greathouse Sturm.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Red Rose Feed Store.
Surviving are three daughters, Geneva Hall and husband Frank, and Loretta Kirby, all of Parkersburg, and Eula Murphy and husband Holly of Creston; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Gibson Sturm; eight brothers and sisters; and one grandson, Holly Murphy, Jr.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Cremo Community Church. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 5959, Grantsville.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., at Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 7th St., Parkersburg.
