Duane H. Black of Fort Myers, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2001, after a long illness.
Born August 23, 1931 in Gilmer County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mary Harris Black.
He is survived by two sisters and one brother, Margaret (Iwana) Stevens, Cleveland, Ohio, Kathryn Ellyson, Fort Myers, FL
and Albert Black
of Wewahitchka, FL. Also several nieces and nephews, Sharon Wick, Shelley Palmer, Jeanne Forepaugh, Rebecca Mason,
Sharlene Miller and
great nieces Sherry Clark, Danielle Ellyson, Kristin Palmer and Brittany Miller. Nephews Joseph Ellyson and Douglas Black.
Great nephews
David Mason and Dean Mason. One great-great nephew Steven Chancey.
He went to diesel school in Tennessee and attend sheet metal school at Institute, WV.
He previously was a resident of Calhoun County , having lived in Florida for several years.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Memorial services will be held at a date yet to be determined.
