| Joe A. Batton, of Reedy, West Virginia, passed away July 11, 2008, at home, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born August 15, 1947, at Reedy, the son of the late Herman and Ora Morford Batton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Deloris "Tiny" Shaffer.
Joe was a former employee of Kellwood Company, owner of Joe A. Batton Construction Company and built log homes for B-P-B Corporation and a 1965 graduate of Spencer High School. He was a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church, Billings and a former member of the WV National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Wolfe Batton; daughters, Cindy Burdette of Ripley, Angie and Kendall Richards of Vienna, Julie Batton of Nashville, TN and Amanda Batton of Fairmont; grandchildren, Logan and Alex Burdette, Austin and Nicole Richards; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and John Wyatt of Billings.
Per his wishes, he was cremated.
