Reformers Unanimous founder and National Director, Steve Curington, had what most people would call the perfect upbringing. His Christian family attended church nearly every Sunday and put him through Christian school.
However, within two years after graduation, he was addicted to cocaine and alcohol.
Addiction stripped him of all self-esteem, a prosperous career, and crippled him with debt. At age 28, he nearly died in a drunk driving accident.
With a punctured lung quickly drowning him in his own blood, he cried out to God, "I don't want to die!" His memory went blank from that point on. A lifesaving call to 911 rescued him from death.
The lessons learned over the next 6 months are detailed during these meetings. At Reformers Unanimous the different steps are taught that lead to blessings from God.
For Steve those blessings consist of a beautiful wife, precious children, a debt free life style, and a career that led him to an executive position in the petroleum industry and now the Founder and Director of the fastest growing, faith-based, addiction program in America.
After a ten year addiction to drugs and alcohol, Steve was able to put aside his addictions through faith in Jesus Christ, the support of his church, and his understanding of God's principles of life from the Bible.
Curington founded Reformers Unanimous in April 1996 to share the Truth and principles that helped him overcome his addictions. The success rate is very high for the student who applies the curriculum and principles taught and is faithful to the meetings.
Other ministries offered by New Testament Baptist are world wide mission outreach, community visitation and soul winning, Good News Clubs in public schools, nursing home ministry, van ministry, and youth program/summer camps.
