Ben, Heather and the girls visited with me Wednesday evening, and left the next afternoon. Ruby liked climbing the ladder I use to feed the birds. I stood behind her but she didn't want my help. She had her own way of getting down. The next morning as the rooster crowed at 5:25 a.m. Ruby crowed a few times and sounded just like him, then went back to sleep. That was something to hear!

Buddy Watkins and I attended the Upper West Fork Community sing Saturday. Karaoke night. It was good to see people getting out to sing and dance. Darus and Mary Watkins, Hershall Yost, his wife Sharon and three of there grandsons, Larry Cottrell and his wife. Rick Horsley and Opal. Ricks sister Linda from Chicago was with them and in a wheel chair. Seems she fell off the back steps and broke her ankle at Rick and Opals farm on Jesse's' Run. Eight weeks in a cast, she has three weeks left and then therapy. After that she is returning home to make arrangements to relocate here. Wishing her well.

Sunday morning Buddy and Jack Watkins and I attended Music in the Mountains in Summersville. We were entertained by the Lonesome River Band, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Long, Grascals, Lewis Family, and Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. All the music was great and after Rhonda performed, Buddy and Jack stood in line to get her autograph. She signed Jack's cap and Buddy's nice blue tee-shirt he bought with her schedule on the back. She gave them both a hug. He bought three CD's while he was there and we listened to them on the way back home. Thank you Buddy for the nice afternoon.

Ben and Heather had a week-end away at King's Island in Ohio. Heather's Aunt Carol and Uncle Skily took care of the girls at their home in Fayetteville, WV. They're going to pick me up on their way back and I'll be spending some time in Nicholas County.

The top of another Locust tree broke off and is still connected at the top and is covering some of the flowers. I just need to get these trees cut out. Keeps a fellow busy unplugging the computer and TV's, and waiting to see the damage done every time one of these almost daily storms pops up.

Everyone have a wonderful week!
