CULPRITS BREAK DOORS AND WINDOW AT NELLY'S GENERAL STORE AT MINNORA

(06/30/2008)
The Calhoun Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempt to break and enter Nelly's General Store at Minnora early Sunday morning.

Doors and windows were busted, according to a store employee, in an effort to enter the store, which is located along Rt. 16.

Kelly Cottrell, owner, said nothing had been taken, with a store employee saying the culprits had apparently been frightened and left the scene.

Deputy J. D. Nicholson of the Calhoun Sheriff's Department investigated the incident.

Thieves broke and entered Cooper's Store at nearby Chloe a week before.

If anyone witnessed activity at or near the store, authorities should be contacted.
