A long-term $31 million plan is in place to upgrade Jackson's Mill State 4-H
Conference Center. The improvements will take place over several years,
using a combination of private and public funds. The project is expected to
be completed by 2007.
The first phase includes the construction of 50 rooms of primary lodging and
a restaurant. The current Jackson Lodge will be expanded from 23 to 50
rooms, in addition to dorm improvements and a new multi-purpose building
and 3000 seat auditorium.
The new WV State Fire Academy will also be constructed on the property.
