GRUESOME PRESTON MURDER - A Preston County man charged with three counts of first degree murder is going on trial in Kingwood.
James Louis DeGasperin, 37, is charged with killing his pregnant girlfriend, Lori Casteel, along with her four year old son.
Both were beaten with a baseball bat.
The boy, named Collin, was also shot.
Their bodies were found inside a car near DeGasperin's home last April.
Casteel was pregnant at the time of her death and DeGasperin has also been charged with first degree murder for the death of her unborn child.
DeGasperin had been a middle school teacher in Bruceton Mills where he taught physical education before his arrest.
News reports said a friend of DeGasperin's reportedly turned him in, telling investigators DeGasperin had asked for his help in disposing of the bodies after the alleged crimes.
