Harry Lee Criss, 82, of Portland, Ohio, formerly of Milo, Calhoun County, died
November 21, 2001 after a short illness. He was born in 1919, son of the late
Noah and Elsie Duffield Criss.
He was a member of the 7th Calvary during WWII and a retired employee of
Republic Steel. He was a longtime member of the Massillon Baptist Temple,
attended the Minnora Methodist Church and the Stiversville Community
Church near Portland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Orma Siers Criss.
Surviving son, David and Kathy Criss of Dacula, Georgia; daughter, Wanda L.
Elson Daily of Portland, Ohio; a sister, Lucille Frazier of Big Otter, WV; a
brother, Walter Criss of Spencer, WV. Also four grandchildren and five great
grandchildren. He was expecting to welcome a great, great grandchild in
January.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stump Funeral Home in
Arnoldsburg. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday.
