Michael Sherman Sartor, Sr., 59, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born Sunday, July 25, 1948, in Marietta, Ohio, a son of the late Sherman Kinley and Elsie Kathryn Pettit Sartor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Sartor.
Mike was a retired respiratory therapist who had worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg and Roane General Hospital, Spencer. After retiring, he owned and operated Cyborg Computers, Spencer. He was a 1966 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a U.S. Navy veteran corps man stationed in San Francisco and Hawaii, during the late 1960's. Mike was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer L. Lance Sartor; two sons, Michael Sherman Sartor, II of Stevensville, Mich. and Craig Sherman Sartor of Spencer; two stepchildren, Scott Harrison of Coolville, Ohio and Lori Kuhns of Bridgeman, Mich.; one brother, John Sartor of Parkersburg; one sister, Sandra Shockey of Parkersburg; many nieces and nephews.
There will be a gathering, of family and friends, to remember and celebrate his life on Thursday, June 12 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
