Calhoun County and four other counties affected by this week's flooding have been added to a larger list of those suffering from damage, according to Calhoun OES Director Kathy Wood.
Other additional counties added yesterday, Clay, Jefferson, Ritchie and Wirt.
They join Barbour, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Ritchie, Taylor, Tucker, Tyler, Upshur and Wetzel.
Governor Joe Manchin joined a representative of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, State Adjutant General Allen Tackett, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Jimmy Gianato and Military Affairs and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary James Spears, to tour some flooded parts of the state Thursday.
OES Director Wood attempted to meet with the governor Thursday in Glenville, but could not get there because of high water.
Wood said Calhoun residents who have experienced flood damage should call 354-9272 and leave a message.
The West Virginia National Guard has been activated to help with the cleanup effort, and a Buckhannon unit is coming to Gilmer.
