Governor Joe Manchin has declared a state of emergency in 15 West Virginia counties after severe storms dumped a huge amount of rain on parts of the Mountain State.
The storm is blamed for at least one death.
Manchin flew into Glenville yesterday to look at the damage in Gilmer County, meeting with emergency services.
Calhoun's OES Director Kathy Wood was to meet with the governor, but could not get into Glenville because of high water.
She later called state officials regarding flooding in Calhoun.
Wood has asked Calhoun residents to call 354-9272 if they have damage, requesting they leave a message.
The flood declaration allows Manchin to direct special resources to affected areas to clear debris and repair roads.
The emergency declaration covers Barbour, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Ritchie, Taylor, Tucker, Tyler, Upshur, and Wetzel.
The body of a man was found who was swept away while trying to drive his truck through high water in Marion County.
