The State of West Virginia has dismissed a felony charge against Randy Lee
Holcomb, 20, of Grantsville, reducing it to a misdemeanor. Holcomb was
initially charged with sexual abuse, contact without consent. A plea
arrangement, according to court records, reduced the charge to battery. The
arrest was made by Grantsville Police Chief Charles McCroskey on October
30. Holcomb was assessed and paid fine and costs and sentenced to 45
days in jail.
A Munday, West Virginia man, William J. Turner, 45, has been charged with
child abuse and domestic battery by a custodian. The case has been waived
to the Grand Jury. Investigating officer is Trooper J. B. Hunt.
Sam "Sammie" Dale Hill, 33, of Orchard Run, Chloe, is facing first degree
sexual assault/abuse from charges brought against him by Deputy Sheriff
Carl Ballengee on September 13. Hall could be sent to prison for 15-35 years
with fines from $1,000 to $15,000, according to court records.
