Anna Mae Cogar Parsons, 71, of Big Bend, West Virginia, passed away May 21, 2008 at her home.
She was born in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Willie and Ruth Smith Cogar. She was a retired employee of the Calhoun County Clerks office where she had worked since 1979 but continued to work part time.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Radcliff (Larry) of Big Bend; 2 sisters, Phyllis Richards of Grantsville and Dorothy Jean Burrows of Richfield, Ohio; a granddaughter Deavin A. Butler; a grandson, James Forrest Blankenship, II; a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Butler; 15 nephews and 16 nieces.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Berlon Parsons, a son, David Parsons; a daughter, Rebecca Parsons; sister, Violet Parsons; son-in-law, Brent Butler; and a grandson, Benjamin Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Mike Kerby will officiate. Interment will be in the Hunt Cemetery at Big Bend.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. |
