While Ben and Heather were here for Uncle Shirley's funeral, Ben planted a honey suckle bush and another plant that we don't even know what it is.
Blaine King and I were on our way to visit with Buddy Watkins on White Oak and there was a little bull calf in the road. We stopped and routed him back through the fence while his mother stood calm on the bank until he was back with her.
Buddy Watkins has a nice garden, potatoes are well up, radishes, onions, lettuce, flowers, good milk weed and he is a wonderful cook. His house is looking great.
I was putting in the air conditioner in the shop and had it in the wrong groove and when I lifted the window to adjust it, it fell out the window on to the steps and into the holly hocks. Rose Jarvis and her friend Bandit put it back and low and behold it works fine. Thanks Rose.
Glen Siers stopped by and brought me a picture he had copied of the Buster Ellisons' place on Walker and also a picture of Tuck Weekly and Ray Siers and friends. Glen and I love these old pictures.
Charles Haverty stopped by for a visit He attended the Mace reunion on Sunday.
Looking forward to the Siers reunion this week-end here at the house. Last year there were only twelve of us there and Uncle Shirley thought it would be a good idea to have it here. I wish so badly he could be with us. Aunt Neil and Aunt Verba are the only ones left of the original Jim and Alice Siers family.
We've had our share of rain here lately, but it's so beautiful here in the country, been planting flowers and Buddy Watkins brought me plants and helped me plant them. I love this neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly and happy when you see them.
Bats are out and about but the hummingbirds are a little slow this spring.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this week-end!
Everyone have a wonderful week!
