Twenty-four faculty and staff from West Virginia University visited Minnie Hamilton Health System, Wednesday, May 14.
Each year, newly hired staff at WVU takes a bus tour to rural areas of the state. This year, the group traveled through Gilmer and Calhoun counties as part of their tour, stopping at Burke Farms in Gilmer County and Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.
The purpose of the visit to MHHS was to offer the group an insight into the intricacies of rural medicine.
The group took a tour of MHHS and then enjoyed refreshments from the Calhoun County CEOS, represented by Patricia Radabaugh and Frances Starkey.
The group was very impressed by the level of care provided at MHHS, remarking on the variety of services offered in Calhoun County.
