The Calhoun Wood festival starts today with gospel music this evening.
Street vendors will be open with carnival rides.
A full schedule of gospel music performers is slated for Gospel Music Night this evening starting at 5 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend the street performance, suggesting you bring a comfortable chair.
Gospel Night is hosted by Minnie Hamilton Chaplains' Association with music from local singers and groups.
Churches having Wednesday night services are invited to come out and fellowship together and support this wonderful line-up of musical talent.

Thursday evening on the Main Stage is Starz-n-Barz Karaoke starting at 6 p.m.
Friday's Main Stage entertainment starting at 6 p.m. is Braden Stover, Josh Oldaker and Adam Tucker. The Wild 'n Crazy Demolition Derby is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Wayne Underwood Field, with registration beginning at 5 p.m.
Saturday morning has Kid's Day Activities, with the Grand Parade scheduled for 11 a.m. The Truck and Pro Mud Bog kicks off at the Industrial Park at 1 p.m.
"Mayberry Memories" will help visitors recall the famous TV show, with Barney and Gomer visiting and entertaining Calhoun folks.
Saturday entertainment features country and blue grass and rock and roll, starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m. for the giant fireworks.
Saturday night rockers include Dixie Moon and Dangerfield, starting at 7:45 p.m.
