Some election watchers were upset following the release of Tuesday's results when a traditional precinct by precinct count was not released to the public by Calhoun Clerk Richard Kirby.
Kirby said the precinct results will be released Friday after the commission canvasses the vote.
Kirby said the early release of precinct results could compromise the privacy of some of the provisional ballots, previously called challenged ballots.
Calhoun has about 30 provisional ballots to be reviewed by the commission Friday.
Kirby said he and several other county clerks agreed to protect the integrity of of every voter by withholding the precinct lists.
The commission will follow state guidelines and do a general canvass of the election Friday, likely certifying the results.
