Calhoun High's Prom Night is this evening.
The Calhoun Pride Team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes have teamed together to sponsor Calhoun's very first All Night After Prom Event.
This event is planned to not only give youth an alternative to perhaps a poor decision, but for all youth to have the opportunity to enjoy the live music of "Crashing Jericho" on their Second Chances Tour where they deliver a substance free lifestyle message of encouragement with great musical talent.
In addition to the concert, other activities include an Olympic Themed party with multiple games and prizes, Movie Theatre, Karaoke (planned but not final) the Kick Back Café where youth will be provided with snacks and Pizza from Grantsville Foodland and Gino's Pizza and Spaghetti House.
Door prizes and a final send-off with breakfast will be provided by Grantsville Foodland.
The event hours are 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
The enforced rules:
- Only students who have attended the Calhoun High School Prom may attend.
- Students must attend the entire prom without leaving to be eligible for the after prom party.
- All school codes of conduct apply according to dress and behavior.
- No after prom attendee may leave until at least 5 a.m. without parents first being called.
- A change of clothes is encouraged, but must be dropped off in the Middle School Gym prior to prom. No one may leave the building to retrieve clothing. Because of photo's being taken upon entering the prom, PRIDE youth will be available outside the school to pick up clothing bags.
This chaperoned event will hopefully provide young people with the opportunity to share some wonderful moments with their classmates and friends in a drug-free, alcohol free and safe environment after the prom. |
