| Pat Bell, president of the local school service employees, following the lead of Robert Morgenstern, organization director of the states AFT, has requested a $500 across the board raise for all county school teachers and service personnel.
The Herald incorrectly reported the request was just for bus drivers.
The money would come from monies already allocated to the county school systems.
Bell requested the board to look at upgrading the dental plan and optical plan.
Board president Lee Evans said the local school board would look at the request.
