A 45-year-old man from out-of-county was life-flighted from Calhoun Sunday afternoon after he was injured in a 4-wheeler accident.
The rider reportedly was thrown from the ATV, which then landed on him.
The accident happened on Upper Big Run off Nicut Road just after 2 p.m.
Sources at the scene indicated he was suffering from back and rib injuries.
Calhoun EMS took the injured man to the Upper West Fork Park to meet a Health-Net chopper from Morgantown. He was then taken to Charleston.
The Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the accident.
