National Day of Prayer was observed yesterday in Grantsville.
The theme for this year was "Prayer! America's Strength and Shield" and is based on the verse from Psalm 28:7 which states: "The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped."
The Minnie Hamilton Volunteer Chaplains Association observed the 57th Annual National Day of Prayer at the courthouse.
Prayers were lifted for the leaders of our country, state, county, and city; our children and their teachers; our peace officers, those serving the military and the Veterans who have sacrificed to serve our nation.
Food sale funds went to support the Community Food Bank at the First Baptist Church in Grantsville.
