| Bessie Weaver, 84, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, formerly of Gilmer County, passed away April 29, 2008 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
Born in Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late W. Bert and Minnie Smith Vanhorn. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Richard Allen Weaver (Patricia) of Ravenswood, WV; daughter, Mrs. Judith Sampson Davis (Dale) of Cambridge, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Zella (Parr) Robinson of Marshallville, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Tina Campbell, Franklin Sampson, Cheryl McGuire, Ronald Sampson, Lyle Sampson, Mark Weaver and Rick Weaver; 8 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Weaver in 1993.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 2nd at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Evangelist Gene Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery at Tanner.
