Doyle S. Elliott, 86, of Greensburg, Pennsylvia, died Wednesday,
March 26, 2008, in Westmoreland Manor. Hempfield
Township.
He was born November 11, 1921, in Grantsville,
West Virginia, a son of the late Paul and Mae (Stump) Elliott.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Peoples
Natural Gas Co. He was a member of First Baptist
Church, Greensburg, and was an Army veteran of World
War II and the Korean War.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary
Lea (Burns) Elliott, on Sept. 7, 2007, a son, William
K. Elliott, on Dec. 1, 1978, and several brothers and
sisters.
He is survived by a daughter, Jill K.
Bollinger and her husband, Floyd, of Noblesville,
Ind.; a son, Timothy Q. Elliott and his wife, Jane of
Greensburg; four grandchildren, Seth Bollinger and his
wife, Amy, Cullen Bollinger, Aaron Elliott and Ashley
Elliott; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be
received from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday in the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home Inc., 516 Stanton at Green Streets,
Greensburg, where a funeral service will begin at 11
a.m. with the Rev. David D. Moutz officiating.
Private interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery,
Grantsville, W.Va. The family suggests memorial
contributions to First Baptist Church, 1228 Brinkerton
Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
