Ten Calhoun High School students traveled to Charleston April 19 for the 14th annual Science Symposium, sponsored by the Health Sciences & Technology Academy.
The students presented the HSTA research project they have been preparing this school year.
Schools from all over the state made presentations with over 1,000 people present at the Symposium. The keynote speaker was West Virginia's First Lady Gayle Manchin. Also among the guest speakers was Charleston's own, Phil Pfister, the World's Strongest Man.
Current HSTA members are Kelsey Collins, Ryan Ellison, Brittany King, Kayla Miller, Austin Moore, Sarah Moore, Beth Richards, Anna Sampson, Samantha Wilson and Michaela Yoak.
