"Surprise, surprise, surprise!" Gomer and Barney are returning for another visit to the 47th Calhoun Wood Festival, Saturday.
Scott Epperson and Bruce Newman will take you back in time, portraying America's favorite characters with "Mayberry Memories."
They will appear as Barney Fife and Gomer Pyle, with everything from the 'Barney Bullet' to the 1960 Mayberry squad car.
The performers will be roaming the streets of Grantsville, handing out jay-walking tickets and getting their pictures taken with festival goers.
The will appear in Saturday's parade and throughout the day.
"Mayberry Memories" is brought to the Wood Festival courtesy of Minnie Hamilton Health System as a full sponsor.
Epperson is a dead ringer for the favorite bumbling Mayberry deputy. He is a theatre actor, voice talent, entertainer and comedian has been splittin' sides for years now.
Folks have a great time interacting with his Barney character.
Newman as 'Gomer' sounds and acts just like the funny guy from Wally's Service Station. Bruce is a great musician, comedian and first-class showman.
He gets a laugh wherever he travels, and the crowds love him,
mixing, mingling and laughin' it up.
The Wood Festival, June 4-6, is filled with dozens of special events from mud boggin' to a demolition derby, with lots of music.
