Ernest Edgell, his son Joseph, his daughter Shanna and her son drove from Virginia last week.
They picked me up and we went to visit Daddy at Miletree. I talked to a speech therapist and Ray's nurse and was informed that there would be no life support.
His kidneys are not filtering blood and he was aspirating food particles that collect in the lungs and cause bacteria and pneumonia.
My twin sister Janice is in from Texas and staying with Ray's sister, Aunt Neil in Spencer and sees Daddy everyday. I'm thankful that I can get away for a little while.
Friday evening Blaine King drove me to Big Otter to meet with my son-in-law, Ben.
It was great riding in an eighteen wheeler to Flatwoods to pick up a load and then on to Nettie. I spent a long week-end there with Heather and her family.
Heather and I attended the Leivasy, WV ramp dinner with Ben's father, Tim Ruckman. Ben was home with the babies alone for the first time did a good job. The girls were sleeping when we got home and Ben was cool.
Aunt Juanita got back home Wednesday from Marie's funeral. She mentioned it was good seeing Edsel and Betty Arnold.
Put the hummingbird feeders out now! Birds have been sighted north of here.
Charles Haverty stopped by one evening while I was outside. We talked about Daddy and while we were sitting there I noticed wood bees and butterflies.
Black ants in the kitchen which I sprayed with bug stop before leaving for Nicholas County. Need some Tansey I talked about last year.
Hope it hasn't frosted on my lilac bush again this year. Saturday here in Leivasy was warm, a little windy and sunny. Turned cold after that. It's ten degrees warmer in Calhoun.
Had a good time with the babies! Hoped that I helped Heather out a little.
Everyone had a wonderful week! |
