A Grantsville man climbed out the back window of his
sports utility vehicle after it
crashed Tuesday morning near the top of Town Hill, just
north of Grantsville. Jason
Smith, proprietor of Smith's Service Station in Grantsville, was
transported to Minnie Hamilton
Health Care by Calhoun EMS, shortly after the 9 a.m. accident. He
was taken to a Parkersburg hospital for further evaulation, after
which he was released.
Smith was
traveling south on State Route 16 when his vehicle went out of control
in a sharp turn.
The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.
Sheriff Allen Parsons and the
West Virginia State Police are investigating.
