Nathaniel Hipp
Calhoun Middle School 5th grader, Nathaniel Hipp came in 2nd during the 32nd Math Field Day held at CM-HS.
Hipp, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Hipp of Grantsville, is likely one of the few Calhoun students who have risen to the top of the regional competition.
The purpose of the Math Field Day is to give students throughout the surrounding eight counties (Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt and Wood) the opportunity to demonstrate that math can be fun, stimulate greater interest for math, encourage individual and independent study of mathematics, and to provide the opportunity for interaction of peers with common interests and, or abilities.
